We need a helping hand so we can keep offering support, space, energy and time to projects that empower our diverse and vibrant community.
Keep our community work going!
From the monthly film night supporting charity Just Older Youth to a weekly games night for young people with autism, from a New Year’s Eve Community bash and art projects to creating jobs for local people - the Hill Station is a space for everyone and a supportive environment where people flourish and connections are made.
With Lewisham College we offer work experience placements from their Special Educational needs catering course that can lead to jobs, the annual Big Lunch brings together the community in celebration of creativity and diversity. There’s nothing comparable in South London - it truly is a unique community space.
As well as being a great space for meeting friends, networking or getting some studying done, it’s also somewhere that has offered a massive amount to local groups and individuals looking for a home.
We want to provide the best service possible and keep our unpaid community work going. Which is why we are embarking on a program of changes which after listening to you includes retraining our staff revamping our space and converting to a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, CIC.
A CIC is for companies passionate about providing "community-based services shaped by the communities we serve. To make all this possible we need a collective helping hand which is where you come in.
