The Heritage Bookshelf: A Community Library for Resettled Ukrainians
Imagine arriving in a new country and longing for a sense of home. The Heritage Bookshelf is a project aimed at creating a Ukrainian community library for those resettled in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and neighbouring areas. This library will provide books for all ages, from children’s picture books to adult novels and cultural literature, offering a comforting space to connect with the Ukrainian language and culture.
We’re raising funds to build this collection, giving Ukrainian families a resource to stay connected to their heritage, enjoy familiar stories, and foster a love of reading in their new community.
