Support Havok Bike Park to weather-proof it's uplift road so our riders can keep shredding safely all winter long.
Help Us Weather-Proof Havok’s Future
Hi everyone — Sam & Gem here from Havok Bike Park.
Havok Bike Park is a rider-owned, rider-built mountain bike park perched on a dramatic 100-acre hillside above the Calder Valley, offering a mix of trails — from flowy beginner lines to technical descents and a dirt-jump zone with panoramic views. As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), every pass sold, every volunteer dig day and every rider who rolls through helps keep this place alive. Havok isn’t just about trails — it’s about community, progression, outdoor adventure, and building a space where riders of all ages and abilities can challenge themselves, have fun, and belong.

Havok has always been built on passion. Sam brings the mud, sweat and trail magic; Gem brings the organisation, warmth and the never-ending behind-the-scenes graft. Alongside our incredible volunteer trail crew and the wider riding community, Havok has grown into a proper family-built bike park on a wild, northern hillside — and we’re unbelievably proud of what we’ve created together.
Why we’re fundraising
Right now, our uplift road is struggling. Being on such an exposed hillside means the weather hits us harder than most. When the rain comes, the ground turns slick, ruts out, and becomes unsafe for the uplift truck to be towing your pride and joy up the hill.

That means closures… sometimes for days, sometimes for weeks. When the uplift stops:
• it’s push up only,
• you miss out on winter laps,
• the park loses essential income,
• and progress grinds to a halt.
And we’re not ones to sit still.
What we want to create
A better, weather-resistant access road that stands strong no matter what the Calder Valley weather throws at us. Something that stays within our environmental ethos but keeps the uplift running year-round and lets us finally focus on all the good stuff again — trails, features, events, and the wild ideas Sam comes up with at 2am.
What this means for Havok
By strengthening and upgrading the road, we can:
• keep the uplift open through winter and beyond
• reinvest into new tracks, new features and new projects
• finally run the race days and Havok Jams everyone’s been waiting for — bigger, better, and sooner
• support the trail crew with safer, smoother access
• and keep Havok progressing the way it deserves
Why we need your help
As a non-profit community project, everything we do is funded through riders, volunteers, and the belief that Havok matters. Every single penny raised will go straight into this project.
We’re aiming to raise £5,000 to cover materials, groundwork and machinery to build the road properly — no temporary bodges, no “that’ll do”, just a solid investment in Havok’s future.
To be fully transparent — Havok Bike Park needs to raise at least £5,000 net to repair and strengthen the uplift road so we can keep the park running through winter, protect our hillside, and start building new tracks again.
Crowdfunder applies a small fee to every pledge (2.4% + 20p), which means we receive slightly less than the total raised. To make sure we still hit the amount needed to get the work done, we’ve set our target at £5,200.
This ensures the project is fully funded after fees and means we don’t fall short when the diggers and stone arrive. Every pound over the target goes straight back into the trails.
If Havok has ever meant something to you…
If you’ve found confidence and progression here…
If your kids enjoy having a safe space to ride here…
If you’ve sent it, sent it too hard, or laughed until your cheeks hurt here…
If you’ve ever stood on this hillside and thought “this feels like home”…
Please consider supporting this fundraiser.

Whether it’s a little or a lot, it genuinely helps. Together we can make Havok stronger, more resilient, and ready for its next chapter — one that’s filled with year-round riding, new tracks, bigger events, and a whole lot more chaos (the good type).
