Aim

The Harvest is a 90s vibe supernatural slasher movie. This is a first feature from Nathan Edwards and will be filmed in the UK

Hello Everyone!

My name is Nathan Edwards, and I am a 20-year-old ambitious filmmaker looking to fund my first-ever feature film. This is a massive dream that I am looking to fulfil.

I have made a few short films in the past, both in the horror genre (one being a student film and the other a challenge) but I have been wanting to adapt and create a film inspired by the 90's slashers I was brought up on: such as Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer and Urban Legend.

I am currently assembling a cast and crew for production to begin in August of this year.

This project will feature practical effects without the inclusion of AI, 100% man-made, as all art should be.

This story I have written follows a group of friends at uni who come across an object tucked away from society (for a reason). After tampering with this object, they unknowingly awaken an angered being who picks them off one by one.

For more about the story and updates, please follow us on Instagram.

By contributing to this campaign you could take home a limited edition DVD, a poster or a thank you in the credits!

With your help we could make the next Slasher Horror Classic!

Thank you all!

The Harvest Synopsis

Neil drags his friends into his local history research, and a field trip leads them to uncover a threat that will challenge their friendships and trust in one another. They’re stalked by a malevolent force picking them off one by one, leading Dawn and Caroline into a spiral of what’s real and what isn’t.

Other Cast And Crew

Nathan is the writer and director. He has introduced himself above, but who else is working on this movie?

Sebastian Roberts - DOP

Thanks to Sebastian's involvement, we will have professional filming equipment, we are not just doing this on iPhones!

He is an experienced filmmaker with 4+ years volunteering as a camera operator, and as recently taken roles as a Cinematographer for shorts and two features. His focus is on the horror genre with action, thriller and drama mixed in.

Penelope Saunders - Caroline

Penelope has been acting on stage in Cambridge for many years, with roles such as Bobbie in The Railway Children and Viola in Twelfth Night. After some formal acting training at All In Actors in London, she is looking forward to doing more film work and taking on the horror genre.

Calliegh Dodson-Roach - Dawn

Calliegh is a 2nd year uni student currently studying Criminology and policing with a goal of graduating and joining the MET police detective programme. They have a strong love for the horror genre especially Silence of the Lambs for it's ties to notorious serial killers such as Ed Gein, Scream 4 as it is their favourite of the franchise and the Conjuring franchise for it's extensive lore and quick scares.

Henry Nunn – Ted

They have done quite a bit of drama work with Huntingdon Youth Theatre and have done many shows with them. They enjoy acting and playing a role! They’re a big horror fan, in both films and games, especially the Resident Evil series and others of the survival horror genre. They’re currently studying Horticulture and enjoys being outdoors and working with plants, something they hope to have a career in.

How We Will Use The Fund?

The funds from this campaign will directly fund the first filming block, expected in August 2026.

Everyone working on this project is doing this for the love of it. They are all donating their time, but as an army marches on its stomach, a film cast and crew do so more.

During the initial 7 day shoot we will have to look after everyone who is working on the movie. Catering and transport do make up a large portion of the funds we seek, so we can ensure everyone is looked after and on top form for this project.

Props and fake blood! These will mostly be home-brewed solutions but sometimes we will need some extra bits and pieces.
