The Green Tree House Food Club

The Green Tree House is a community cafe where we run lots of activities, including bingo, art and craft, ReThink meetings, and social support for lonely isolated members of our community.

The cafe is run by 9 local volunteers, all who have a passion to support their community.

We provide free meals to children during school holidays, and have helped several homeless people with food and equipment.

Sadly we had to close the cafe in March due to the covid pandemic to protect our volunteers and our customers.  We are working hard to re open, we have had to reinvent how we run the cafe with a reduced menu and activities with social distancing.

We work along side Fareshare / Tesco to provide free food items once a week, and we are seeing more and more of our community struggling to make ends meet. with that we are opening a Food Club which opens on Wednesdays and Saturdays 10am - 3pm.

TGTH Food Club is a community store open to local residents. The store will offer a wide range of food and other essential household goods to its members.

members pay £3.50 per visit and can choose up to 10 items per visit.

The money we raise will help towards a large fridge, a chest freezer and shelves to display the food items, marketing / leaflet/membership cards.  We would like to have some re-usable bags made for members to use when they visit.
