Aim

I'm skipping 35 marathons in 35 days across the UK to raise £520K for 52 Lives. This Crowdfunder makes the expedition possible.

What Is The Great British Skip?

In August 2026, I will set out to skip from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

The route?
900 miles across the UK. Through towns, villages, schools and communities. One marathon distance a day for 35 consecutive days.

But this isn’t just an endurance challenge.

It’s a national kindness campaign.

Over the years, through delivering kindness workshops in schools, sharing lived experience stories through Tales to Inspire and taking on adventures across the UK and beyond, one thing has become clear:

Kindness changes lives.

From strangers offering support during challenges, to communities opening their doors, to simple moments of compassion during difficult times, kindness has repeatedly reminded me of the best of humanity.

And yet right now, the world can feel increasingly divided and disconnected.

This challenge is about proving something different.

That kindness still exists everywhere.

Throughout the journey, we aim to uncover and showcase at least 520 stories of kindness from schools, communities and individuals across the UK.

Stories that inspire hope.
Stories that bring people together.
Stories that remind us who we really are.

Why Skipping?

The skipping rope is intentional.

It’s playful. Nostalgic. Universal.

Just like in a playground, where skipping breaks down barriers and brings children together, I want this challenge to spark connection, conversation and curiosity across the country.

It’s something simple.

But sometimes the simplest things bring people together the most.

Why We’re Crowdfunding

The Great British Skip is a grassroots mission.

No major sponsors.
No luxury production.
No huge support team.

Just a small crew, a campervan, a skipping rope, and a belief that kindness deserves to be seen and shared.

For 35 days, we’ll live on the road whilst navigating logistics, recovery, filming, editing, storytelling and community engagement in real time.

Your support keeps this challenge moving. Literally.

Crowdfunding allows us to cover the essentials:

  • Campervan hire and travel logistics
  • Fuel and insurance
  • Safety and recovery support
  • Food and hydration across 35 marathon distance days
  • Daily filming and storytelling
  • Editing and digital content production
  • Equipment and operational support
  • Documentary film production
  • The creation of a legacy book capturing the journey and stories

This isn’t a luxury expedition.

It’s a real, human challenge powered by purpose, community and a small team working at their limit to create something meaningful.

Why The Stretch Goal Matters

Reaching the stretch goal allows this project to become more than just a challenge.

It allows us to create a lasting legacy.

Right now, the project is intentionally lean and grassroots. But additional funding would allow us to:

  • Properly document stories of kindness across the UK
  • Produce a high quality documentary film
  • Publish a book capturing the journey and lessons from the road
  • Create more meaningful content for schools and communities
  • Support the physical and mental sustainability of the team throughout the challenge
  • Increase awareness and fundraising impact for the charity partners

Most importantly, it allows us to preserve these stories for future generations.

Because this challenge is not just about 35 days.

It’s about creating a movement around kindness.

Our Commitment

Everything you see around this project is being built from the ground up.

The route planning.
The school outreach.
The logistics.
The storytelling.
The training.
The filming.
The editing.
The partnerships.
The preparation.

This challenge is driven by people who genuinely believe kindness matters.

My time throughout this challenge is fully volunteered.

We are doing this because we believe stories of kindness have the power to change lives, strengthen communities and shape the future.

The Wider Vision

The funds raised through the wider campaign will support two incredible causes:

  • Helping young people and families experiencing hardship through 52 Lives
  • Funding free kindness workshops in primary schools across the UK through The School of Kindness

Because if we can embed empathy, compassion and human connection into the next generation, we don’t just change individual lives.

We shape the future.

This Is Just The Beginning

This challenge is about more than skipping.

It’s about hope.

It’s about human connection.

It’s about proving that kindness still exists in every corner of our country.

And with your support, we can turn one journey into something far bigger:

A movement.
A message.
A national reminder of the good that still exists in people.

Let’s skip for something bigger.
