To regenerate The Graig and create a safer, more welcoming and inclusive environment for women, girls, families and the community.
Briton Ferry Steel Cricket Club has been at the heart of our community for generations, providing opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in cricket, stay active, make friends and enjoy a welcoming social environment. Run entirely by volunteers, our club is committed to making cricket accessible and inclusive for everyone.
In recent years, we have worked hard to grow opportunities for women and girls, support junior cricket and create a welcoming environment where people feel comfortable getting involved, whether as players, volunteers, spectators or community members. However, many of our facilities are now showing their age and no longer reflect the positive and inclusive experience we want to provide.

Our vision is to regenerate The Graig and create a safer, more attractive and welcoming environment for everyone who uses the club. We want to undertake a general overhaul of our facilities, including improvements to our changing rooms, showers, toilets and clubhouse amenities. These upgrades will help ensure our facilities better meet the needs of current and future users while creating a more comfortable and welcoming environment for all.
The total cost of the proposed improvements is estimated at £30,000, including £15,000 to renovate the internal clubhouse toilets and £15,000 to renovate the changing room facilities, including toilets and showers. These projects will significantly improve the experience of players, volunteers, officials, spectators and community groups using the club throughout the year.
The improvements will support the continued growth of women’s and girls’ cricket, encourage greater participation from under-represented groups and help ensure that everyone feels welcome when they visit the club. Modern, well-maintained facilities are essential in creating an environment where people can enjoy sport, build friendships and feel part of the community.

Funds raised through this project will contribute towards improving our changing facilities, shower and toilet provision, clubhouse amenities and other enhancements that support a welcoming and inclusive club environment. These improvements will help ensure Briton Ferry Steel Cricket Club remains a thriving, sustainable community hub for generations to come.
