THE GRAFF CAFF - A Fresh Creative Street-Food Space for Colwyn Bay!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

From the team behind ink!..😊

North Wales deserves places that bring people together.

Spaces where creativity, conversation, and community collide. The kind of places that give a town its personality. The kind people talk about, bring their friends to, and return to again and again..❤️

That’s what The Graff Caff is being built to become.

A Vibrant street-food spot.
A communal hangout.
A cultural landmark in the making.

And yes — we already have the keys. 🔑

A Town Full of Potential

Over the last few years, something has become impossible to ignore in Colwyn Bay.

Between the sea and the mountains sits a town full of creativity — musicians, artists, makers and independent spirit. Yet many of the buildings that once carried that energy have gone quiet.

Empty shops.
Closed shutters.
Spaces waiting for life again.

The truth is, we can’t rely on councils and corporations alone to regenerate our towns. Real change tends to come from small independent teams, families, and local communities — the people willing to plant the seeds and nurture them. 🌱

And it starts with a few simple things..

Doors opening.
Lights on.
Music playing.
Food being served.

People gathering again.

Because when spaces come back to life, towns do too.

Where This Story Really Started

Three years ago we opened Ink Art Gallery & Lounge.

At the time, we didn’t know exactly what it would become. We just believed Colwyn Bay needed a creative space that felt welcoming, inclusive, and alive.

Since then Ink has grown into something much bigger than we imagined.

Hundreds of artists have shown their work.
Musicians have played their first gigs.
Communities have found a home.

From art jams and gigs, to book clubs, Deaf community meetups, workshops, open mics, and everything in between — Ink proved something important:

Creative spaces work here.

Not only do they work — people genuinely care about them.

The Lesson That Changed Everything

Running Ink also taught us something else.

Something very practical.

When we first opened, we hoped to eventually add a full kitchen. Food naturally complements music, art, and social spaces — it brings people together in a different way.

However, as we explored it further, the reality became clear.

Due to fire regulations and the physical layout of the building, installing a full commercial kitchen inside Ink simply wasn’t possible.

We had two choices.

Force something into a space it wasn’t designed for.

Or step back and ask a better question:

What if the solution wasn’t inside Ink at all?

The Moment The Graff Caff Was Born

Once we looked at things differently, the answer became obvious.

We needed another creative venue entirely.

A place built specifically for street food.
A place where the art flows along side locally brewed beer.
A place where people gather for gigs and support a growing music scene.

A place that adds colour and movement back into an empty building.

That idea became THE GRAFF CAFF.

Not as a compromise.

But as the next natural step.

What The Graff Caff Will Be

The Graff Caff is being built as a creative street-food hub for Colwyn Bay.

A space where food, art, and community mix together naturally.

You can look forward to:

🔥 Street-food inspired cooking
🎨 Artwork and murals from talented artists
🎶 Music and creative energy flowing through the space
👋 A welcoming hangout for locals and visitors alike

This isn’t about replacing anything that already exists.

It’s about adding something new to the town — something vibrant, accessible, and full of personality.

Ink + The Graff Caff: One Ecosystem

These two spaces aren’t separate ideas — they’re part of the same ecosystem.

Ink is the cultural hub. A space for art exhibitions, gigs, workshops, talks and community gatherings. It’s where ideas form, creativity happens, and people come together around culture.

The Graff Caff becomes the street-food engine and social hotspot. A place to grab incredible food, hang out, and keep the energy of the street alive.

Because the two venues sit less than a minute’s walk apart, they naturally feed into each other. People moving between exhibitions, gigs, workshops, food and late-night conversations — creating a constant flow of life between the two spaces.

Artists showing work at Ink can grab some grub at The Graff Caff.
Gig crowds can spill out for food afterwards.
Visitors coming for food discover exhibitions, music and events they didn’t expect.

Each space strengthens the other.

Together they create a small but powerful creative ecosystem in the heart of Colwyn Bay — where art, food, music and community all intersect.

Why Colwyn Bay?🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Because this is home.

We grew up here.
We believe in this Town.

Colwyn Bay is on the verge of becoming one of the most culturally exciting seaside towns in the region — and we want to help push that momentum forward.

In a time when so many towns across Britain feel grey, quiet, and stripped of character, places like The Graff Caff matter.

They bring colour back.

Why We’re Crowdfunding

Opening a venue like this takes serious groundwork.

We’ve already secured the building and committed to the lease.
We’ve spent almost a year planning, designing, and preparing the project.

Now we’re inviting the community to help us bring it fully to life.

This crowdfunder allows the people who believe in what we’re building to become part of the story from the very beginning.

Why All This Matters

Across the UK, grassroots creative spaces are disappearing.

Small venues, art spaces, and independent hangouts are often the first to vanish when costs rise and redevelopment begins.

Yet these are the spaces where culture actually begins.

Where artists hang their first painting.
Where musicians play their first gig.
Where communities grow.

The Graff Caff is about keeping those spaces alive.

Not corporate.
Not polished into something generic.

But real, creative, and community-driven.

Looking Ahead

The Graff Caff isn’t the end goal.

It’s the next step.

Our long-term vision is to continue opening small, independent, culture-driven spaces across North Wales — each with its own personality but all connected by the same spirit of creativity and community.

Art.
Music.
Food.
People.

That’s the future we want to help build here.

And we’d love you to be part of it.

Welcome to The Graff Caff.
