Our Aim is to take Veterans of HM Forces who are suffering with PTSD & Isolation and bring them together with like minded people.
Helping Homeless Veterans UK was formed in September 2019 by three Directors who wanted to make a difference in The Veterans Community and utilising the skills they had developed over many years and with the help of some exceptional volunteers, we have gone from strength to strength since our formation.
To date and since our conception we have helped and assisted 154 Veterans in less than two years and this has solely been carried out by volunteers with nobody taking any form of wages.
Our CEO has been involved in helping over 450 Veterans into a place they can call home and as a team we realise that more can be done to help Veterans who maybe lonely and feeling isolated. Mental Health and being isolated are two areas that we have recognised needs to be addressed and this is what our project aims to achieve.
By bringing Veterans to ourselves at our HQ at Rivo's Hub we can help address any issues that the Veterans may need help with and guide them using our own knowledge and skills as well as the many organisations that we work closely with.
Our work has been recognised by The Veterans Community as well as senior front bench MPs and other dignitaries and we now feel we are in a position to help prevent Isolation and reintegrate as many Veterans back into society as well as gaining recognised qualifications and employment. We believe that Prevention is the best cure and we are certain that we now have the right project to achieve this.
