We support people who have experienced domestic abuse to build confidence and create financial independence by starting their own business.
I'm Dani Wallace and I'm on a mission to help as many people as I can Show up, Wise up and Rise up so that they can lead a fulfilling life and dive deep into their birth right of success, whatever their chosen measure.
The Fly Anyway Foundation is a not-for-profit company specialising in supporting people who have experienced domestic abuse to rebuild their lives, their self-belief and their finances by starting their own business. We connect our service users (Business Builders) with business experts (Ambassadors), who donate or subsidise their products and services so that Business Builders not only build their self-confidence and self-worth, but create meaningful financial independence and contribution so that they can truly Fly Anyway.
Brand Specialists, Web Designers, Accountants and Virtual Assistants are amongst our team. After completing the 12-week self-learning modules and discussing their outcome and strategic business plan, Business Builders receive a bespoke package to meet their individual needs. We recognise that people don’t have to sit in victim-hood or survivor-ship, they can go on to grow beyond survival and fly.
I experienced domestic abuse as a child when I was growing up on the council estates of Preston and then later on, in intimate partner relationships in my teens and twenties. The shame I carried as an intelligent and articulate woman, who had performed both on stage as an entertainer and within well respected corporate roles, was too much to bear.
In the moments when I was at rock bottom, I vowed that if I was ever to survive this situation and go on to create any kind of success for myself, then I would use any platform I created to help other people overcome adversity, particularly in the field of domestic abuse recovery.
When watching the Bee Movie some years back with my girls, once I was in a position of safety, I heard the quote:
"According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway, because bees don't care what humans think is impossible”. [Bee movie 2007]
I set about rebuilding my life and, by the power of social media, built an audience, and I now lead a movement of business owners who Show up, Wise up and Rise up together. I run inspirational personal development events and workshops, speaking programmes and coach people to take up space in the world with the power of their mission and message.
With a successful business under my wing (pardon the pun) in the form of IATQB Ltd, I am now fulfilling my vow of creating a foundation to help people who have experienced domestic abuse in the form of the Fly Anyway Foundation. This has been gathering huge momentum over the past year and we are now working with and supporting Business Builders, helping them create new lives for themselves. Delivery has been carefully planned with the Business Builder at the forefront to ensure a safe, positive and successful experience.
In supporting the Fly Anyway Foundation, you will be helping survivors of domestic abuse to create positive, meaningful and lasting changes in their lives; you will be part of a truly game changing organisation that is helping survivors of domestic abuse reclaim their lives and truly fly.
