Aim
We are raising money to fund a wheelchair accessible mini bus for the foundation. Allowing us to truly transform the way we work.
The Fantastic Freddie Foundation's goal is simple - to create opportunities and provide a platform for young disabled people to make memories and live their live the way they want to. Transport is vital to this mission.
Right now, hiring transport is one of our biggest ongoing costs, with travel expenses exceeding £6,000 every year. Having our own minibus would allow us to invest that money back into what matters most – creating more unforgettable experiences for our members.
A foundation minibus will allow us to run more frequent trips and outings - giving the people we support more opportunities to socialise, build confidence, and make lasting friendships. It would also make our activities more affordable, as we'd no longer need to pass on the high cost of hired transport.
Just as importantly, a minibus would remove lasting barriers to participation. Currently we provide transport for trips further afield. However, with our own transport we will be able to provide transport for even the most local outings, ensuring that nobody misses out through no fault of their own. Whether it's a local staple event like our Mates and Dates events or a Surfing trip to Wales; our members would have safe, reliable transport every step of the way.
Every donation towards our minibus brings us closer to making our services more accessible, more affordable, and available to even more young adults with disabilities. Together, we can help create greater independence, stronger friendships, and countless new memories.
