About me
Hi I’m Brooke! I run Brookes Holistics based in Maldon, Essex. I started this business because of my own story. 2 and a half years ago, at 17, I was violently sexually assaulted with attempted rape, and I still have to deal with that pain daily. After the attack I found that there was no support quickly available for people in my situation, there was local charities however they all had a massive waitlist. I found myself googling “how do you get over it?”. After finding support and paying a lot of money for help I decided to change my career plan. I want to help people like me find their own healing at an affordable price. So I started my degree in Psychodynamic Practice at Essex University and started Brooke’s Holistics. I have helped over 100 women since starting my business and aim to help thousands.
The Cause
By donating even just £1 you will be helping me be able to provide a programme made for young survivors. Every £30 raised I will be able to help a young woman who has been subject to recent sexual assault. My aim is to create an online document which everyone will have access to guiding people through what to expect when reporting, therapy techniques and many resources that I wish I had. I will be able to hire my room for an hour to provide Reiki, Acu sound or a mental health check in for the individual which is absolutely invaluable for survivors of this traumatic experience. I will also be able to provide a small mental health package including the basics I wish I had following the attack such as rape testing kits, a safe exfoliation sponge, Detol bath wash etc. This is just from £30. Which could realistically change lives. With £120 I can hire my room out all day and do many of these sessions with individuals and also run drop in sessions for those who just want quick support or a rape kit.
I understand money is tight at the moment but I will help young women. Everyone deserves the chance to get the help they need without paying.
