Inclusive & Safe Community Space in Lydney, FOD

Aim

To increase the comfort of The Den with climate control and increased security, to double as a warm space in winter with free hot drinks.

The Den is a non profit social enterprise within Lydney, providing a safe and inclusive space for all, with a focus on the neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ communities. 

We have funded this out of our pockets, excluding a grant we were lucky enough to receive for the sensory space. 

However we really need to make the space comfortable with climate control - air con for the summers and heating in the winter, plus increased security measures so everyone feels safe in all areas of the venue. 

We would love to make this a free and accessible space but to make this happen we really need to invest in the space first. 

We are really hoping to invest in the community and provide this 'den' where everyone can feel safe. 

Which is why we need support to add these 2 major additions to the areas everyone using the space is comfortable and safe.
