We're raising funds for a short film based on a student who decides to take control of her life only to realise she may have made a mistake.
WHAT WE'RE MAKING:
In short... a film! BUT really we have decided to create a story about the struggles of balancing uni life with personal relationships and how this can take control and consume a young persons mental health.
A brief description of the plot - After struggling with coming to terms of her recent breakup, Nessa Cadell goes through her own healing journey through a hallucination of 'The Fragile Connection game show'. Discovering she has more to live for, she comes to regret her earlier actions and decides she must reach out for help.
WHY WE'RE MAKING IT:
We want to show how difficult it can be to deal with big changes happening in life when your a uni student living away from home, and show people that it's ok to feel lonely.
WHO WE ARE:
2 Uni students!!!! so who better to make a film about the struggles of uni life!
Here's some Bio's for both of us and why we're excited to make this film!
Niamh - I'm producing this film but, outside of uni I work in Falmouth's zero waste shop, i also enjoy going for sea swims and crocheting in any spare time I get!! I'm excited to make this film as it'll put my producing skills to the test plus we've get to make a whole game show within our film (and who doesn't love game shows).
Izzy - I am excited to direct the Delusion as I want to use it as a chance to explore different techniques creatively. As I am also editing the short film, I want to collect as much inspiration and combine my ideas and creative goals. I enjoy fashion and making clothes, which is why I am so enthusiastic about the costume for the game show scene.
