Aim

The Cure Begins is a group project collaborating with Alzheimer's Research UK to fundraise money for research towards helping dementia.

Hi, we are university students at Westminster. We are coming together to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK, and we need your help to make a real difference! 

Alzheimer's is a devastating disease that affects over 55 million people worldwide (World Health Organisation), including many of our loved ones. It robs people of their memories, independence, and connection to the world around them. It's one of the leading causes of death and has a profound impact on families, caregivers and healthcare systems. 

This charity has helped many families who are experiencing dementia, such as Alison & Frank's story. Frank was diagnosed in 2020 with Alzheimer's and joined this charity to share his story to combat misconceptions, which led to recognition in Connection Film.

Every single pound we collect will go directly towards funding critical research, supporting caregivers, and helping those living with Alzheimer's get the resources they need.
