We have outgrown our club! Help us expand our community boxing gym and continue to change the lives of the young adults in our town.
Help St Edmund Boxing Club Build a Bigger Future for Our Community
St Edmund Boxing Club has secured a new home — four times the size of our current premises and even more accessible to the young people and families who need us most.
Now, we need your help to turn this empty unit into a thriving community boxing club that can open its doors 7 days a week, from 9am to 9pm.
More Than a Boxing Club
In just 24 months, St Edmund Boxing Club has supported and helped more than 600 individuals.
But what happens inside our club goes far beyond boxing.
We work one-to-one, on a daily basis, with young people who do not fit into mainstream education. We provide structure, discipline, consistency and a place where they feel they belong.
We have opened our doors on Christmas Day for people who needed somewhere to go and distributed £1,500 worth of boxing gloves to families who needed a helping hand on Christmas morning.
We have worked with people experiencing homelessness in our town, offering free boxing classes throughout the summer.
We work alongside Alcoholics Anonymous, offering boxing as a positive alternative and a healthy outlet.
We have helped young adults make such significant changes in their behaviour through attending our club five nights a week that they have avoided entering the social care system.
We have supported vulnerable young people who have been groomed and exploited by county lines gangs.
We raised £2,000 to send a young family on holiday, giving them an experience and memories they otherwise would not have had.
We have trained people whom others had given up on. We have paid for their gloves, boots and memberships, welcomed them into our gym every night and watched them go on to compete and win in front of 350 people at major boxing shows in the area.
And every single week, we continue to work with countless young people — building their confidence, respect, morals and discipline, and helping them build a better future.
For so many people, St Edmund Boxing Club is a second home.
Our Next Chapter
We have now secured a new unit that is four times larger than our current premises.
This is a huge opportunity for our club and our community. The new space will allow us to reach more young people, support more families and expand the work we already do.
Once fully equipped, we will be able to open 7 days a week, from 9am until 9pm.
But securing the building is only the first step.
We now need to raise funds through donations, gifts and sponsorship to fit out and equip the new unit. Every contribution will help us create a safe, welcoming and fully equipped space where people can train, learn, grow and find the support they need.
This is not simply about building a bigger boxing gym.
It is about building a bigger future for our community.
It is about giving a young person somewhere to go instead of the streets.
It is about giving someone struggling with addiction a positive alternative.
It is about giving a vulnerable young person structure, discipline and people who believe in them.
It is about keeping our doors open for those who may have nowhere else to turn.
Over the past 24 months, we have shown what St Edmund Boxing Club can achieve.
Now imagine what we can do with four times the space and doors open 7 days a week.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help us take this next step. If you are unable to donate, sharing our campaign can make a huge difference too.
Please help us build the new home of St Edmund Boxing Club and continue changing lives — one person, one family and one round at a time.
Thank you for believing in our club, our community and the people we support
