Help us to bring people together as performers and audiences in an inclusive, social and creative way - LIFE IS A CABARET!
The Circus of Sound Cabaret is launching in Eastbourne on 22nd March 2019, led by Delta 7 in partnership with a collective of community organisations. The aim is for the Cabaret to become a regular event, under the banner; "EVERYONE IS WELCOME, EVERYONE IS INCLUDED".
The idea is simple; to create opportunities for adults of all ages to share an eclectic mix of performance including music, comedy and poetry in an inclusive, friendly, social environment.
This project is dedicated to Tom Salway, a brilliant young musician who worked with Delta 7 for 4 years and died in August 2017; Circus of Sound was the name of his first band and this project is named in his memory.
Many people feel vulnerable, unconfident and excluded from existing "open mic" events in the community and the Cabaret will bring people together to feel connected, safe and valued.
The Cabaret will be managed by a collective of organisations experienced in and committed to combatting social isolation, celebrating diversity and empowering people by building skills and confidence; Delta 7, Culture Shift, Stay Up Late, Devonshire Collective, Kiss My Disco and St Elisabeth's.
Our aim is to raise £1000 in order to achieve an additional £1000 of funding from the East Sussex County Council "Projects That Matter" competition. Every pound you donate will help us to reach this target and with your support we can develop this special project for Eastbourne and beyond.
And in case you don't know Delta 7 already, here is a short film to introduce you...
