Any additional money raised will be used to buy wonderful gifts for our Care Leavers...
Aim: To organise and provide a Christmas Day dinner to Care Leavers aged 18-25, many of who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day.
Back for our 3rd year, we are a group of volunteers committed to creating a day to remember for up to 50 young adults from across Kent who have left the care system and who may be alone on Christmas Day.
The Christmas Dinner is an annual project founded by the poet Lemn Sissay OBE for communities to provide an amazing Christmas Day for care leavers aged between 18 and 25 – one they’ll never forget.
Each Dinner is organised locally by a steering group of people who come together to make the Christmas Day magic happen. These have been organised in up to 20 towns and cities in the UK since 2013.
We NEED the help of the local community - people, organisations and businesses!! From volunteering in the run-up and on the day, offering donations of gifts or financial contributions - anything, however big or small, will enable us to achieve our aim.
Please watch the video which depicts the positivity and joy the first Manchester dinner gave their guests in 2013.
