In response to the Covid19 crisis, we are fundraising to support freelancers, registered charities and organisations who work in the field of arts for children aged 13 years and under.
The creative industries have been hard-hit by Covid19: venues and schools across the UK have been forced to close for an indefinite time period, resulting in a largely freelance workforce facing prolonged periods of unemployment and financial uncertainty. Meanwhile, charities and organisations are relying on the generosity of their regular audiences to keep them afloat as they continue to pay for rent on their premises, essential staff, and other unavoidable running costs such as building and website maintenance.
The children’s arts industry is in a particularly precarious situation, as it is largely made up of smaller organisations who do not receive government funding. Many of these organisations face 100% revenue losses.
We have listened to our members and decided that we need to do more to help children’s arts survive this crisis. Please donate today and help us secure the future of children’s arts in the UK.
This fund will open for applications in May. It will be open to freelancers, charities and organisations who have a three-year track-record of working predominantly in children’s arts (with a focus on those aged 13 and under). We will also consider applications from recent graduates of degrees related to creative education, and those who have set up a new organisation solely focussed on creative work for children in the last three years. If you are interested in benefitting from this fund, please click here to sign up to our mailing list.
We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see Crowdfunder's Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
