The build of our new Scout Hut

Aim
The aim of our project is to build a new hut after our old one was damaged by flooding last year. This will bring our troops back together.
Since the 27th September 2024, when our previous hut got flooded, our amazing team behind the scenes, took on the task to get our packs back to where they belong.
From endless efforts of fundraising and amazing support from our local community and businesses we have come along tremendously.
The past 6 months had it's ups and downs with some challenges that have put our team to the test. Since our local council had given us permission to proceed with our build of our new hut it had come with some conditions that had come with unexpected additional costs to our project. With these conditions, it has added approximately £10,000 to £15,000 of unbudgeted costing. This has come as a shock to us, but this will not dampen our determination to achieve our dream.
From the demolition of our old hut to our present stage would not have been possible without the drive and determination of SD Carpentry, Factor9Design, and RM Architectural Consultants Ltd.
We are looking forward to the progress of this project with the help of our local community and businesses.
