There's some fantastic women in the City of Birmingham and it's about time we celebrate them. From creatives, to musical artists, doulas, hairdressers, mothers and wives. We've got some amazing stories to tell. 

The Black Women of Birmingham Awards 2022 is about celebrating us.

Wearing our Super Women capes but avoiding burn out, taking time out to acknowledge the contribution to our communities and prevailing above adversity. 

There will be 18 categories presented on the night by local people within the community, nominations and final votes will have been collated via previous public voice / vote stages. 

This is a family friendly event because representation matters. It is also family friendly to include those that are single parents (Mothers and Fathers) because this event is open for everyone who wants to see Black Women Winning. 

There will be a 3 course meal served on the night aswell as entertainment by some of Birminghams finest talent. 

This campaign of crowd funding is about addressing obstructions and supporting those who have accessibility barriers. 

The previous celebration was free to attend, and a daytime event. It an informal occasion.  This time around we would like to present an awards ceremony celebration bigger and better with an expansion of vision. 

Therefore outfit sponsorship, hairdressing appointments and barbering services are also welcomed as part of this request for support. 

Black Women don't often receive the support needed, with lack of safe spaces and harsh words to describe us. 

Being the cradle givers to our family (not forgetting the nurturing Fathers) we want all to celebrate with us in plush and enjoyable settings for this NOT FOR PROFITS award ceremony. 

The aim is to inspire future generations. 

Your donation will contribute towards 150 people receiving an attendance ticket, knock down barriers and uplift someone's mental health positively. 

The first 10 donators of £100+ will receive a ticket to the BWOB awards. Thereafter all donators will be entered into the prize draws on the night of the awards ceremony.

Therapeutic services (dance healing, creative art therapy) 

Beverages (Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic)

Plus More 

Whether or not you are present on the night of the awards ceremony, arrangements will be made for you to receive your prize. 

If excess money is raised it will be used towards the running costs for the event: 

Payment for entertainment 

Room decoration 

Equipment hire for DJ / novelty

Cash collections within Birmingham available
