Aim
To raise awareness about the situation of homeless veterans and vulnerable people across the UK.
On Friday 10th November 2023 I will be sleeping rough with a good friend of mine in Sunny Wales taking part in The Big Sleep to raise awareness about the situation of homeless veterans and vulnerable people across the UK. What better way to spend the final days before I hit the big 40!
This alone isn't going to fix the issue but what it aims to do is raise awareness via contacts on social media, work colleagues, friends and family at just how bad the situation is especially in the run up to winter.
Alabaré is a charity that offers support to hundreds of people in need through its homes and services across England and Wales. They provide specialist support for young parents and their babies, people suffering from addictions, young people and those leaving the care system, those experiencing mental ill health, adults with learning difficulties, and Armed Forces Veterans who struggle to cope with life outside of the military.
