To install the new kitchen that will bring The Bank to life, unlocking great food, events and hospitality when we open in Summer 2026!

The old Bank of Scotland building is being brought back to life as The Bank Dunblane – a lively cultural and hospitality venue at the heart of the High Street. A place shaped and backed by the community, with 1 in 8 Dunblane residents already members of the charity behind it.
Opening in Summer 2026, The Bank will bring together great food, relaxed hospitality, film, music and events in a way that complements – rather than competes with – Dunblane’s brilliant cafés, pubs and shops. This is about drawing more people into town, giving the High Street fresh energy, and creating a place the whole area can be proud of.
The major construction work is already well underway, funded by grants, partners and early supporters. Now we’re asking the community to help us unlock one essential element so The Bank can open fully equipped and ready to thrive from day one: the kitchen.
We are raising £40,000 to install the kitchen at the centre of the building – the engine of The Bank’s food offering and the anchor of its warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The kitchen is the heart of The Bank’s hospitality offer. Installing it now means that when the doors open in Summer 2026, the building won’t feel like a shell – it will feel alive.
A fully functioning kitchen unlocks:
This is what will turn The Bank from a renovated building into a place people love spending time in. The kitchen is essential to the experience.
With your help we can go from this:

To this:

By backing the kitchen, you’re helping create a place that brings people together and brings people into Dunblane.
Your support helps create:
This is not another village hall. Not another community room. Not a youth centre. It’s a distinctive cultural and hospitality space – something new, something exciting, something Dunblane can genuinely shout about.
A flexible food offering was identified as one of the top three things people wanted. You wanted family friendly meals, pop up chefs, and deli type offerings. We will be in the unique position of being able to pair up food with entertainment whether that is family Sunday lunch with a film, or one of our watch and nibble nights where a movie and tapas can be had. Pre-booked supper clubs, with visiting chefs cooking up regional cuisine, will also help us to reduce food waste as orders will be made in advance.
Our deli offering will concentrate on showcasing local producers on a rotational basis, we won’t hold much stock so when it's gone, it's gone!! This also reduces food wastage and helps with cash flow.
The Bank is run by Dunblane Square, a community‑owned Scottish charity. More than 1,200 residents are already members, giving the project one of the strongest community mandates in the area.
All income generated by The Bank is reinvested back into the venue and into strengthening community life. No dividends. No private owners. This is a shared civic asset.

Your support sits alongside all of theirs – a powerful signal of local backing.
Thank you for supporting this next chapter in Dunblane’s story.
The Bank will be a place to meet, eat, drink, watch a film, listen to music, attend events, and enjoy the best of local hospitality – right in the centre of town.
If you can, please donate and help us install the kitchen that will bring The Bank to life in Summer 2026.
Let’s create something Dunblane can be proud of for decades to come.
