Aim

We are moving! Our new BBQ HQ will be in the heart of Penryn (behind Verdant), a place for families and friends to enjoy BBQ food together

Since 2019 we have been feeding the community of Falmouth and Penryn, through our humble beginnings serving BBQ ribs from the driveway, to Catering events across the country (including feeding 900 people in 3 hours for RNAS Culdrose) to our BBQ Trailer days at B&Q.

This year alone, we have completed over 100 catering events for people all over the Southwest, and we want to do more to host you in our own premises.

My name is Adam, I am the founder and creator of The Aussie Smoker. I live and breathe the brand and values of the company being all about family and making people smile through food.

Our Vision

My wife and I have a group of 12 friends and we used to meet once a month to eat, celebrate and reconnect with one another. As our families have grown in size, there are now 24 of us with all of the children included and there is nowhere that can host us (especially a lot of the time, with unpredictable Cornish weather)!

We want to solve that problem for you. Our premises can be exclusively booked for your group to relax with your family and friends along with being served up delicious BBQ food with kid friendly options.

We want to host everything from your next birthday party, family celebrations and even corporate lunches!

Along with the above we will be:

• Open as a trade counter for takeaway, products and frozen BBQ food 
• Opening for the public on certain days during the week
• Hosting 'Big Eats' style BBQ competitions
• BBQ Sunday lunches
• Private hire of our space

Last year we were honoured to win Best Alternative Caterer at the South West Wedding Awards, and we’re delighted to be nominated again this year! We’re truly humbled to be recognised within the food and wedding industry, and this recognition means so much to us.

Why are we Crowdfunding?

Having outgrown our current premises under the Viaduct in Ponsanooth, we have found our perfect location in Kernick Industrial Estate, Penryn (behind Verdant) and we need your help to fund a big ol' extraction unit! We have already secured a bank loan which is paying for the fit out but we need a bit of extra help. We want you to be part of this journey and your money will contribute towards this new fancy extraction to ensure we can operate for years to come and future proof this venue!
