The Art Shed

The Background

We have a wonderful old barn on site but this winter, the roof was close to collapse and needed to be repaired. 

We scraped together the money to rebuild the barn rather than lose it altogether, but unfortunately we have just run out of money to finish it. 

The Art Shed Vision

Our wonderful builders James and Andy came up with a really great design and the building is taking shape as a space for art and craft activities. There's a beautiful view over our pond and they've built in really useful shelving and seating. 

To get maximum natural light into the building, they've also built in frames for perspex windows, but we have run out of money to buy any more materials. Can you help?

Creating Amazing Art

We already create some amazing art on site with the help of our volunteers. We run sessions on pottery, natural dyeing, painting with natural inks and paints, flower arranging, green woodworking. 

All of these sessions are free to those who use our charity and they're a great way to explore plants and get creative. Art is accessible, therapeutic and a great activity to do on a rainy day. And we have a few of those!
