Aim

We are raising money to support people to progress away from homelessness.

Poverty in Sheffield has reached an all-time high - with more than 4000 people facing homelessness. At The Archer Project, we are heavily impacted by these devastating statistics and need your help more than ever.

As the temperature declines and weather warnings are imminent -  the risk of frostbite, pneumonia and hypothermia is sadly probable for people experiencing homelessness. Along with loneliness and isolation, homelessness is a dark place to be.

We offer people experiencing homelessness holistic care and have already supported 1016 people and served over 15,888 meals, so far this year.

Here’s a little bit about the support we offer:

Based in Sheffield’s city centre, we act as a place where people can visit to access many services and avenues of support. As we understand the complex nature of homelessness, we offer a range of on-site services and activities, such as nutritious food, showers, laundry facilities, fresh clothing, mail services, IT access, therapeutic activities and a range of medical practitioners.

We spend time developing meaningful and trusting relationships with individuals, which helps us understand people's needs, circumstances and most importantly how we can help.

We also offer people volunteering roles at our Project, which helps people feel a sense of belonging and positive routine. Supported employment opportunities are offered within our social enterprises, Just Clean and Printed By Us - go and check them out!

Financial support

Individuals who come to us for support are often completely disengaged from any services. Our work is designed to break down barriers to accessing support. Positive financial habit-building is woven into conversations around progression in our broader objectives of improvement in health and wellbeing, citizenship and accommodation.

We directly support individuals with bill management. We assist individuals in navigating the benefits system and managing debt, providing one-on-one support tailored to specific circumstances. This support plays a huge part in the transition from cyclical homelessness to a more stable lifestyle.

So, I suppose you're wondering how you can help?

By donating to our Crowdfunder you are making the most of your money, stretching your support even further.

Here’s how:

We’ve partnered with Aviva, who are matching all donations up to £250! Essentially, your donation will be doubled (up to £250).

Here’s how your donation will directly benefit the people we support:

  • £5 runs our washing machine for the day
  • £25 can help us offer 10 people a nutritious, warm breakfast
  • £14 can help us put together a food parcel for someone without access to cooking facilities
  • £50 could pay for a schema therapy session
  • £100 could fund an animal therapy session
  • £144 can cover employees’ wages at Printed by Us for 12 hours

All donations support people to progress away from homelessness to live more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Matched donations are an incredible way to make your donations go even further and help us reach our £50,000 goal.
