Join (An)Others and Support our Brewery Project

In life we are not isolated, we are always connected to others. Another Beer’s success to date comes, in a large part, from the help of others and we want to build on that success with our new crowdfunding campaign.

 We have plans, and they involve a group of people we’re calling “(An)Others”. Sounds like a scary film? Actually quite the opposite. We are investing heavily in our new premises, and want others to come with us on this journey. We are looking for a group of people to invest alongside ourselves.

Become (An)Other & Help Create a New Home to Enjoy Beer

After moving into our new brewery space in Elvington earlier this year we’re looking to expand our offer by creating a new social space, something that we promise won’t be another Taproom! 

We’re looking to raise £14,000 to develop the mezzanine floor of our brewery, and your funds will go into developing the space, kitting out Taproom space with comfortable seating and the right bar equipment to make sure all our beers and other drinks taste and are served just right. 

Once opened the Taproom will focus on delivering the best hospitality to our guests, we will be organising a host of events throughout the year, including regular street food collaborations and live music events.

We will also make sure that residents of the city can take advantage, with regular complimentary shuttle bus services organised, as well as creating a meeting place for the locals of Elvington.

About Another Beer

Another Beer started in 2019 when our founder, James Fawcett, started brewing in a homemade shed in the garden of his shared house in London. This gave him the realisation that he wanted to pursue brewing as a career. 

So, James and his wife relocated to ‘The North’ and Another Beer was born.

Our first year was a great success, we sold our flagship 5% American Pale Ale across Yorkshire, Manchester and the Midlands, and was due to release its subsequent two beers just as the pandemic hit in March 2020.

We also moved production to The Ice Cream Factory, a brewery on Skeldergate, and were able to survive and thrive with home delivery and take out.

Now, in 2022 we have moved to our own brewery in Elvington, allowing us to expand our capacity and make sure as many people as possible can enjoy Another Beer. 

We’re proud to supply many notable brands in York and would like to shout out Spark: York, The Crooked Tap Acomb, Micklegate Social, Hop O'Clock, Star Inn The City and The Crescent Music Venue as some of our favourite places in York to enjoy another pint. We also run a popular pop-up bar on the banks of the River Ouse that will open again from Easter 2022.

This is our very first foray into crowdfunding and we want to make sure our supporters get something special from it and feel part of something, become (An)Other.

Everyone who supports the campaign gets access to money can’t buy rewards, including exclusive use of the Taproom, a brewing day with us as well as exclusive Another merch and a special discount valid for up to 24 months.

We officially launch on 28.3.222 and will keep it open for 3 weeks, closing 18.4.22.
