Aim

Providing British Police Dog Units with amazing crime fighting K9 heroes who protect communities, catch criminals and find missing people. Donations support a project creating dogs who have the perfect skills and balanced character that a Police Dog needs. Many UK Police Dog Sections struggle to find dogs who have the right skills and with scarce resources it is hard to support the purchase of K9 recruits. The Baby Police Dog Initiative takes the best puppies and immerses them into a fun filled, dynamic police puppy academy. Exciting K9 recruits are then gifted to Police Dog Units

The fundamental aim of the Amfides Baby Police Dog Initiative is to provide amazing baby police dogs who are bursting with potential. The initiative then donates these awesome crime fighting superheroes to British Police Dog Units. Two of the biggest challenges facing our Police Services is finding dogs that have the right combination of skills and character and then paying for them!

You can help us to respond to those two challenges. Your gift will help to produce the puppies in terms of contributing to their basic nurture and training costs and then ultimately your gift enables us to donate the dog to a Police Dog Unit where it will be teamed up with a Police Officer.

Each dog will have an amazing life full of adventure, excitement and fun. They will live at home with their Handler and family and each day they will head off to work as a crime busting team. The life they lead will be amazing and the contribution they will make to our communities will be beyond measure. Each dog work for a good 6 to 7 years and when they retire most dogs will stay with their families and share war stories with the young K9 who takes over!!

Your gift will specifically help to cover the cost of specially bred recruits. This alone represents a considerable investment in terms of research, planning and preparation with each puppy being the culmination of years of hard work. Breeding alone is not enough to start a puppy on the road to becoming a crime fighting superhero. Hard work, training, excellent food and lots of fun and cuddles all make up the special ingredients that go to make a Police Dog. Hence as well as supporting the production cost your gift will help to create the perfect environment in which the puppies will thrive and develop all of the skills they will need.

Directly you will be helping to pay for the actual puppies that will be able to start their police careers. Hence that gift you make covers the physical cost of that fluffy bundle of chaos and crime fighting potential. In addition your gifts will help to cover the basic living costs, veterinary and indeed training costs that are associated with getting the best out of the puppies. Training and nurturing potential police puppies is intense and the more each puppy is able to experience the better. Hence your gift will help to cover costs such as training equipment, special toys, trips on trains, boats and public transport. The list of things to do is endless but with your gifts we can expose the puppies to a myriad of experiences that contribute to their formation.

Your gift will take you into a compelling world that will amaze and excite you. You will not be able to help but be drawn into a family of supporters and enthusiasts who adore and respect police dogs. We will keep you informed with regular updates about the puppies that you have supported. To start with you can follow their training progress and then once they have “Passed Out” and received their official Home Office Licence you will be able to follow their adventures. Just keeping abreast with what they get up to is exciting and some of the stories detailing their exploits will blow you away. In addition you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you have helped to support the deployment of one of the most amazing and exciting crime busting tools known to man (or dog)!
