The Considered Ask and friends of The 93% Club has provided £56,547 of match funding
Aim: We’re crowdfunding to build the UK’s largest state school alumni network, unlocking opportunity, support and access for state schoolers.
The 93% Club began as a whisper. Now it’s a movement.
We are the fastest-growing network of state schoolers and this crowdfunder will provide the fuel to build the UK’s largest network transforming opportunities for state school students and professionals.
This isn’t just about money. It’s a movement.
Whether you lived it or just won’t stand for it, if you believe in a fairer future, this is your moment to help build it.
We’ve already secured £250,000 in pledged match funding, but this only unlocks if we can raise the rest. We need you to help us steer the future of social mobility in Britain.
One question still quietly decides who gets in and who gets left behind: “What school did you go to?”
It sounds like small talk. But for millions of state schoolers, it’s code — a shortcut to power, networks, and influence they were never given access to.
We’ve just closed the UK’s biggest ever State School Survey, raising the voices of 10,000+ state schoolers.
92% say they have no alumni network to turn to.
That’s millions of talented young people locked out - not because they lack ambition, but because they lack access. Meanwhile, 70% say it’s the best-connected peers who land the top jobs. And they’re right.
This crowdfunder is timed to launch alongside Social Mobility Day and the release of those findings. If we act now, we can tip the balance.
We’re building what should already exist - a powerful, connected network that state schoolers can actually access.
You can read more about our impact here.
Now, we need the infrastructure to scale and serve the needs of the 93% across the UK. With your support, we’re raising £500,000 to scale the UK’s largest network transforming outcomes for state school students and professionals. Our vision is to:
This isn’t about blaming those who’ve benefited from elite institutions. It’s about fixing a system that systematically excludes the rest.
Despite making up 93% of the UK population, state schoolers still make up just:
That’s not a meritocracy. That’s a barrier built into the system.
The 93% Club is tearing those barriers down and proving social mobility isn’t just possible, it’s happening.
A huge thank you to our early backers who have pledged the match funding and joined our cause:
….and a major anonymous donor.
“When I arrived at university from a council estate in Borehamwood, I thought I’d made it. But what I found was a world where background still quietly decides who gets ahead.
That’s why I started The 93% Club, and why this crowdfunder is urgent.
We’ve already got £250,000 pledged in match funding. But we only unlock it if we raise the rest.
If you believe it’s time state schoolers had the same shot - now’s the time to show it.”
