Aim: Temples in Thailand are sanctuaries for dogs like Biscuit, but we need your help to protect them from deadly diseases and parasites.

1744040955_luon_nuae_district_-9258_0.jpgFor a dog like Biscuit, life on the streets is a constant battle. Fighting other dogs for food and space, risking injuries from cars, and living under the threat of violence from people who see him as a pest.

After a hard life roaming the streets in Thailand, Biscuit was lucky enough to find sanctuary at a temple. A temple is a safe haven for dogs. The monks provide a place to call home, food, and protection from the dangers of the outside world.

But, there are some things that the monks can’t protect dogs like Biscuit from, deadly diseases like rabies, injuries from other dogs or cars, or parasites like ticks and fleas. And, as living costs increase more dogs are being abandoned on the streets, temples are becoming more and more overcrowded, and more help is urgently needed.

1744041322_line_album_outreach_project_on_december___january_250113_39.jpgYou can help make sure dogs like Biscuit are safe and healthy. Our vets in Thailand are going to temples, delivering the care dogs and cats living there need, vaccinating against rabies, treating injuries and disease, and performing spay and neuter surgeries to stop overcrowding.

1744041428_picture4.jpgWhen our teams visited the temple Biscuit calls home, they noticed he was in pain whilst walking and discovered he had been hit by a car about a week before. Our team took him to the centre for treatment, and found his fracture had healed unevenly. A blood test revealed he also had blood parasites. Thankfully, he is now receiving the treatment he needs for a happy and healthy life.

Please consider making a donation today. With your support we can help more temples be safe havens for animals. Your gift can help provide the medications they need to stay healthy, provide fuel for our teams to reach temples across Thailand, or cover the costs of spay and neuter surgeries. Your support will help us prevent disease and injury, and ensure we are there for dogs like Biscuit, who need extra care.

1744041452_wat_mae_yuak-0068_0.jpgMore and more dogs need our help.

In January of this year, our team visited Wat Wiwek Wanaram, a temple that shelters over 100 stray dogs. We spoke with Monk Phra Laeng, who has been caring for these dogs for nearly 20 years. Initially, the temple housed around 10 dogs, but as people struggle with increasing costs, more abandoned dogs have been brought to the temple, and donations to support their care have decreased.

Together, we can ensure animals living at temples can get the veterinary treatment they need.

In 2024 our teams treated over 1,300 animals at 70 temples across Thailand, but many more need our help.

Donate today, and you can ensure animals who have already endured so much, have a safe future.

  • £15 could vaccinate 10 dogs against rabies, protecting them against this cruel and fatal disease.
  • £20 could provide worming treatments for 20 dogs, protecting them from deadly parasites.
  • £50 could buy 120 Caprofen tablets, providing much-needed pain relief for dogs that have been injured.
  • £100 could expertly sterilise five dogs, keeping them healthy and preventing over population.

Thank you for helping dogs like Biscuit.
