Tewkesbury Cricket Club aim to improve the playing facilities after the extremely dry weather in the summer of 2025
Tewkesbury Cricket Club (TCC) is situated in the heart of the town and provides a community hub for its wide range of members. Throughout each summer, we are able to offer Cricket to the following:
Being situated near the River Swilgate, TCC experience regular flooding and droughts which cause huge damage to the outfield and playing square.

We aim to spend our £30,000 of fundraising on improving the overall playing facilities
By installing 3 hybrid pitches, it will allow TCCto host more fixtures and inspire more people to be active. In 2025 we were able to host our first disability fixture for Gloucestershire CCC which was a huge success.
The rapidly growing women's section have been able to use the ground at times, but are often forced to play at another ground due to the facilities being in use or being repaired for future games. The introduction of new pitches will allow the ladies teams to use TCC more regularly for both training and games.

With the money raised, we aim to spend:
This projects will benefit the community by allowing the ground to be in much more regular use throughout the week, rather than the usual weekend activity. At times, the outfield became unsafe in 2025 due to cracking from the dry weather and this impacted junior and all stars training sessions. We want to be able to offer cricket to all of our members, on every day of the week at TCC whilst maintaining the highest quality and safety for all.

We aim to branch out further than the direct Tewkesbury community in 2026 by hosting a range of junior county games (both boys and girls). As previously mentioned, we would also love to host more disability and County Women's cricket fixtures.
With more cricket being played, it acts as a social hub where people come to watch, support and socialise over a drink. In recent years, TCC has opened it gates to non-members, tourists of the town and local residents and the atmosphere has certainly become more welcoming.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Purchase rewards. Get involved and purchase a reward that can be claimed once the 12 week window is up
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
