Aim

We’re raising £150,000 to secure the Jeely’s future and develop new and improved services for children and families in Castlemilk.

For more than 50 years, the Jeely Piece Club has been part of the fabric of Castlemilk, supporting generations of children and families through play, early years education and practical family support. From our indoor and outdoor nursery for children aged 0–5 to our play services for older children, the Jeely provides opportunities to learn, grow and thrive.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: every child deserves the chance to play, grow, learn and thrive, regardless of their circumstances.

But the world around the Jeely has changed. Costs have risen significantly, traditional sources of funding are under increasing pressure, and the needs of the children and families we support continue to evolve.

We don't simply want to survive these challenges. We want to build a Jeely that is ready for the next generation.

That's why we're launching #TestifyTaeThat and asking our community to help us raise £150,000.

What will your support make possible?

The money we raise will be invested directly in the Jeely’s future, helping us to:

  • Continue our play sessions for children aged 5–12 and further develop our play services for children with Additional Support Needs, making sure more children can benefit from safe, welcoming and inclusive opportunities to play.
  • Develop the Jeely as a genuine one-stop shop for families: providing practical support, parenting advice, advocacy and a trusted place to turn when help is needed.
  • Carry out important repairs and improvements to the spaces our children and families use, including our much-loved soft play area.
  • Help us maintain and improve the facilities that support our indoor and outdoor nursery for children aged 0–5. While funding supports the delivery of nursery places, the Jeely must find the money to maintain and develop the buildings, spaces and resources that make these important early years experiences possible.
  • Update our café and develop it into a warm, welcoming space where families and people from across the community can meet, connect and spend time together.

Building the next 50 years

This isn't about saving something from the past. It's about protecting everything that makes the Jeely special while investing in what children and families in Castlemilk need next.

Thousands of people have a Jeely story. Some came here as children. Some returned years later with children of their own. Others have worked, volunteered, donated or stood alongside us.

For more than half a century, people across Castlemilk and beyond have seen what the Jeely can mean to a child, a family and a community.

The Jeely matters. We can testify tae that!

Now we're asking you to help make sure the next generation can too.

Please donate whatever you can, share #TestifyTaeThat, and help us build the next chapter of the Jeely Piece Club.

Have you got a Jeely story? We'd love to hear it!

For more than 50 years, the Jeely Piece Club has been part of the lives of generations of Castlemilk families, and we know there are thousands of wonderful memories out there.

As part of #TestifyTaeThat, we're inviting former Jeely Weans, parents, staff, volunteers and supporters to share their stories and help us show Glasgow why the Jeely matters.

Simply record a short 30–60 second video on your phone telling us about your favourite Jeely memory, what the organisation means to you or why you want it to be here for future generations. There's no need for anything polished or professional – just speak from the heart and finish with the words "I can testify tae that!"

We'll share selected videos throughout the campaign to help spread the word and encourage others to get involved.
