We are thrilled to be celebrating four years of Terrifying Women by presenting our 5th instalment Terrifying Women V: Gutted at The Omnibus theatre 1-3 November this year!

After hugely successful runs in 2021, 2022, 2023 and earlier this year at Cambridge Junction, we are back with three horrifying new pieces united on a theme of body horror from Sampira Al-Fihri, Morgan Lloyd Malcolm and Abi Zakarian.

Presented by Amanda Castro and Produced by María Ines Olmedo, Terrifying Women V: Gutted will be an unforgettable night of horror and suspense.

Why We Need Your Donation

We are on a mission to continue to spook, scare, shock, and stimulate the hell out of you and for this we need your support. Your donation will go towards paying all the artists working on the four performances of this new show, as well as towards the production.

After four years of Terrifying Women, we are very proud to have employed over 52 creatives and spooked the hell out of nearly one thousand audience members. With your donations you are helping us build the terrifying future of the company so we can continue focusing on giving horror a greater space within UK Theatre.

Your support is truly valuable to us and everyone who decides to donate will participate in a prize draw. Once we reach our goal, we will draw:

  • 3 sets of 1 pair of tickets for Terrifying Women V: Gutted at the Omnibus Theatre 2024
  • 3 Terrifying Women bags + surprise thank you token
  • 3 Terrifying Women badges + surprise thank you token

There is no such thing as a small donation and all contributions are immensely appreciated. At the end of our run we will share the impact your contribution has made and we will keep you in the loop for any of our future free events.

If you would be interested in getting a little bit more involved by supporting us with a larger donation, we invite you to consider our Scream Queen or Horror Hero Schemes . You can email us at [email protected] with subject Scream Queen/HorrorHero for more information. (Please note this scheme is open for donations of £500 +).

What we are

Terrifying Women is an introduction to the often-overlooked genre of horror in theatre. Our events feature a series of short, original works performed by an electric ensemble of actors. From ghostly tales to vengeful monsters, ancient horrors to modern day villains our short plays spook, scare, shock and stimulate the hell out of you.

Why We're Doing It

We started Terrifying Women in 2021 after noticing the lack of horror on our stages. Four years on, we’re dedicated to continuing to champion and grow the profile and presence of horror in the UK theatre by platforming exciting new horror work from female and non-binary creatives.

Horror is often wrongly regarded as a less complex genre, looked down on as low-brow and ignored by theatres as worthy of commissioning or programming, so the three of them resolved to create a night that showcased their horror-based work and demonstrated how this most maligned of genres is deserving of more attention on stage.

THANK YOU for your support and we hope to see you at the Omnibus Theatre this November.

We can’t wait to frighten the life out of you...
