TARP DVIEJŲ / BETWEEN TWO is our trio’s newest project, and our first international endeavour, focused on connecting the UK, where Alex and Rebecca grew up, with Lithuania, Milda’s homeland, by presenting new music by composers from both Lithuania and the UK.
This project will take place in April and we would be grateful for any help towards the costs of the Lithuanian leg of the tour!
This is an exciting opportunity to promote cultural dialogue between Lithuania and the United Kingdom, by establishing professional connections with Lithuanian composers and presenting their music in the UK, whilst also introducing new works by emerging British composers to Lithuanian audiences.
Our visit to Lithuania will coincide with the 150th anniversary of the birth of one of the most beloved Lithuanian artists and composers M.K. Čiurlionis. Two Lithuanian composers from the project will write a piece for us that takes inspiration from Čiurlionis‘ creative output.
We are extremely lucky to be performing this project in some renowned cultural venues in Lithuania:
After we come back to the UK, we’ll be bringing this programme to Leeds, Edinburgh, Leicester, and London.
Our ensemble’s mixed cultural background has meant we’ve been eager to connect with the new music scene in Lithuania for a long time. It is also a chance for some of the wonderful composers on our debut album Visions to have their music premiered in Europe.
We called this project ‘TARP DVIEJŲ / BETWEEN TWO‘ because it‘s about placing ourselves between the musical landscapes of two countries and creating a platform to present the voices of composing talent of both Lithuania and the UK.
Several barriers have meant that attaining funding for the Lithuanian leg of the tour has not been possible while we were lucky to find a few partners (including Nicholas Boas Charitable Trust) that agreed to support us during the UK leg of the tour.
We would be extremely grateful for any donation however big or small to get this project off the ground. <3

Our Lithuanian concerts will generate a small fee from ticket splits; however, there are no guaranteed figures. Concert revenue will be the only source of our performance fees and will likely cover our per diem for the tour.
Any money we can raise through your crowdfunding help will go towards the larger tour costs such as transportation, accommodation, and travel expenses for Lithuania.
While in Lithuania, we will play 3 concerts, spend 5 nights, and travel 3 times between different cities.
After carefully calculating and considering fluctuating prices, our numbers look like this:
£730 flights (including musical instruments transportation)
£215 travel between venues (including fees for transporting instruments), public transportation in Lithuania
£265 accommodation for 5 nights
