Joel, Kim & Chris would like your support to help Tennis Weekly thrive in 2023.
We are entering the fifth year for the podcast and 2022 has certainly been our most eventful (and successful) yet.
Looking back twelve months ago, tennis and the world was in a different place. Getting used to a new normality was always going to have its challenges and we have been delighted to see the show adapt and go from strength to strength over the season.
This was in most part thanks to the £610 and 22 kind supporters whose donations from last year's crowdfund enabled us to:
- Publish over 75+ free episodes including catch-ups, interviews and Slam round-by-rounds
- Rebrand the show from 'The Passing Shot' into 'Tennis Weekly' including an overhaul and re-design of our website
- Cover tour events in-person with a dedicated live set-up
Personal highlights for us include developing the show into a three-person format bringing Chris on board, getting a podcast shoutout in the press room from Team GB at the BJK Cup and having a rockstar musician (at least in Joel's eyes) guest onto the show.
Moving onto 2023, our ambition to offer tennis fans an alternative voice to traditional tennis media is burning brighter than ever.
That means, just like last year, we’re still not bothered about dog sponsorships. We just like to talk tennis as friends in a pub would and investing in us would go a long way to help us keep chatting, enabling our local operation to thrive globally.
We understand that every penny counts at the moment in the current cost of living climate but if you can, please support Tennis Weekly. It really will make all the difference and help us achieve our exciting plans over the forthcoming season.
This includes putting on more live in-person shows, creating more tennis content beyond the podcast and bringing on more dedicated resource so we can maintain a consistent voice on our social feeds throughout the season.
