Helping tenants live safely and securely by tackling damp, mould, rent, and antisocial behaviour issues fairly and fast.

Our Mission

At Tenants First CIC, we believe everyone deserves a safe, healthy home. We help tenants facing issues like damp and mould, antisocial behaviour, rent problems, and communication breakdowns with their landlords.

The Problem

Across the UK, thousands of families are living in poor housing conditions or dealing with tenancy stress. Many do not know where to turn or feel ignored when they ask for help. Damp and mould can affect health. Miscommunication can lead to rent arrears, evictions, and even homelessness.

Our Solution

We provide independent inspections, early intervention, and practical support to help tenants and landlords find fair solutions quickly.
Our team carries out detailed housing inspections, helps tenants understand their rights, and supports landlords to meet their legal duties under Awaabs Law and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
We also assist tenants with wider issues like rent concerns, antisocial behaviour, and breakdowns in communication, helping restore trust and stability before things escalate.

How We Will Use the Funds

Your donations will help us:

Provide free or low cost inspections for low income tenants

Launch a tenant support portal for reporting and tracking issues

Cover equipment, travel, and report costs for our surveyors

Expand mediation and communication support services

Print awareness packs to help tenants know their rights
