Aim

We are offering creative workshops that celebrate our neurodiverse strengths and amplify our unheard voices

Neurodiversity is often labelled a diagnosis, a disorder, a disability. But what if it's also a strength? a power? a gift?

With neurodiverse girls, some additional words come to mind...masking?overlooked? under- or delayed diagnosis?

I'm Tanya, founder of Tenacity Collective CIC. At 25 years old, I was diagnosed with dyslexia and at 40 years old, I got the extra letters added to my name- A.D.H.D.

Well, what a gift at the milestone moments of my life!

However, late diagnosis has its strengths. I have learnt from a wide range of mistakes and developed a wider amount of coping strategies... I have also felt much more empowered to understand and advocate for my daughter's needs, resulting in a diagnosis of dyslexia at primary school and a better support package for secondary school.

Along my journey of setting up Tenacity Collective, I've met many amazing mothers with children with much higher and more complex support needs. They are often advocates, punching bags, comfort blankets and remarkable, tenacious, beautiful, unheard champions of their children.

We want to provide a space for them to share, create and co-design their collective voices to raise awareness of neurodiversity from their eyes and to create a platform to amplify their voices.

Together, we will codesign products that can be sold on our website, and the profits will be reinvested in projects for women and girls in underserved communities. Many of the experiences will be captured to shape our future work.

Our second workshop would be for girls who identify as neurodiverse (diagnosed or not). These workshops will be co-designed with parents, ensure inclusivity, and create an encouraging, confidence-building environment that celebrates neurodiverse insights.

We aim to involve 12 participants in the workshops and offer the space for free. The cost of £75 per person includes the individual's involvement gift voucher, workshop materials, refreshments, safety & compliance, planning and facilitation and the initial blank stock which we will customise.

Tenacity Collective CIC was set up in January 2026 with the aim of creating opportunities for women and girls from underserved communities to be happier, healthier and more financially independent, amplifying their resilience and tenacity.

Whilst we apply for funding and before we start trading, we wanted to offer a pilot workshop to test our workshop model, helping us launch co-designed merchandise from our often-overlooked communities.

Ideally, we need 45 people to donate £20 to fund our first two workshops.

  • If we raise £900 then we can offer both workshops.                                            (We've added £50 to cover set up and crowdfunder fees)
  • If we raise between £900-£1,150 we will provide each workshop attendee with free items that they helped co-design.
  • If we raise £1,150+, we will create additional workshops for other attendees on themes that elevate our neurodiverse community
  • If we fall short of our target, we will still deliver the work, with fewer people and in a more financially robust way.

Please note, all of the money raised will be put in our Tenacity Collective CIC bank account and profits reinvested into the community.
