Tempus Community Projects uses it’s connections with British Athletes and Elite sports professionals to bring their skills and profiles to the communities that most need them. Working in deprived areas of the UK, where many of our athletes began, Tempus Community Projects supports vulnerable young people with sports and mentorship hubs. From these hubs we connect them to professional role models, specialised and appropriate sports for development training, and safe spaces, to allow children, youth, and the marginalised, to improve their resilience and reach their potential.
Tempus Community Projects is developing a sports hub in Teesside to address both persistent and emerging community needs. The hub aims to improve mental health, physical health, and vocational skills for local youth.
Teesside struggles with issues related to poverty, including long-term mental and physical health challenges. Yet, new economic projects are creating opportunities for transformation. By utilizing TCP’s connections with elite athletes, the sports hub will be a catalyst for positive change.
The hub will feature a sports pitch, a learning area, facilities, and a communal space. It will provide young people with opportunities to engage with top athletes, offering role models who exemplify success and resilience. Through structured programs and interactive sessions, participants will develop skills, gain inspiration, and enhance their life prospects.
