We did it
On 8th August 2024 we successfully raised £1,230 ( + est. £30.00 Gift Aid ) with 4 supporters in 35 days

Our young people are care leavers & asylum seekers. They deserve a positive, inspiring space in which to grow into adulthood & independence.

Help Us Transform Stonepillow's Young People's Service!

Our young people (aged 16-21) have already experienced trauma and childhoods that are vastly different from those most of us can imagine. Without family support, it is up to us to support them towards an adult future where they can make positive choices and become independent. A positive environment enables this. Imagine a space that:

  • Empowers our young people: A place where they feel safe, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
  • Breaks down barriers: A welcoming environment that fosters connections and builds a sense of belonging.
  • Sparks creativity: An inspiring space that ignites young minds and encourages them to dream big.

This is the vision we have for Tempe, and we need your help to make it a reality!

The current space for our young people is a little outdated and is in need of a fresher look to give it a more homely feel; and support our young clients to be inspired to build the bright future which they deserve.

Your contributions will help us modernise the facilities and create a bright, functional, and welcoming space for young people to learn, grow, and connect.

Every donation, big or small, will make a difference.

Together, we can create a space that empowers young people and sets them on a path to success!

Donors or organisations giving £500+ will be acknowledged on a plaque on the wall - as well as a personal invitation to our next special event!

We are also on the lookout for any soft furnishings to be donated.

Young People's service manager, Paula has said a few words on how the renovation will help our young people:

'The renovation will benefit the young people by providing a fresher, more modern home environment. Our young people take pride in their home and like it to look aesthetically pleasing, giving the feeling of a home as opposed to a supported accommodation. We are really keen to provide this and soft furnishings will really help to bring this together. As well as much needed decorating, we would be interested in

Blankets and cushions for the lounge to create a cosy space where the young people can relax and spent time together communally.

Some greenery such as plants would nice, we have space for both large and small. Extra towels are always needed for the young people when they arrive, sometimes there is nothing better than a hot shower after a hard day.

Cooking utensils and trays are always appreciated by the young people and this encourages them to cook independently.

Some games for the lounge would be wonderful to encourage game nights for all to enjoy.

All floors are lino which give it a ‘corporate’ feel so fluffy rugs would also help soften the lines!'
