The Telling #HomeTour: weekly concerts & events

Aim

We're fundraising to complete The Telling #HomeTour: a weekly series of high quality concert/play & concert films + online workshops & Q&A

We're asking for your help to complete The Telling #HomeTour: a series of free films of concerts and concert/plays as well as live online workshops, Q&As and Meet the Artist sessions, set to launch on Wednesday 12th August and run weekly every Wednesday until 28 October.  

The quality of the concertplay filming is unlike anything else we have seen by even the leading arts organisations during the lockdown and we can't wait to share them with you.

We've raised most of the funds from  Arts Council England, Ambache Charitable Trust and Sylvia Waddilove Foundation but still need to raise £5000 from this crowdfunder and donations each week when we release the films.  

The schedule consists of a mix of 

• pre-recorded concerts (some outside, in front of a socially distanced audience) of Sephardic, medieval and lullaby concerts
• storytelling with music and 
• online premieres of four hybrid concert/plays (where music and drama collide) written by The Telling’s soprano, writer and Artistic Director Clare Norburn and directed by acclaimed TV director Nicholas Renton, best known for the BAFTA-nominated Mrs Gaskell’s Wives and Daughters for BBC TV, as well as episodes of Musketeers, Lewis, George Gently and Silent Witness.

All of the screenings will premiere on The Telling’s Facebook and YouTube accounts and will be available to watch for one week.

Plus, on some weeks, there will be live pre-show singing workshops and post-show Q&A and Meet the Artist sessions both via Zoom.

We want these events to be free to benefit everyone while the country is still struggling from the pandemic, so if your finances are not affected, please dig deep to help us fund this tour in homes.
