Two reasons; 1) Raise money for James Cook Neonatal Unit 2) Support England kettlebell athletes to get to The European Championships, Greece
Hello!
We are looking for people to join and complete a challenge and raise money for two amazing causes.
The James Cook Neonatal ward. This is something particularly close to mine and my family’s hearts. The work that they do is nothing but outstanding. They have left a direct footprint on our lives but also the lives of those far and wide. The help and support that they provide before, during and after birth is nothing short of incredible.
England Kettlebell youth team, based at Tu Nova gym, Darlington where. The team will be competing in both the WKSF European Championship to held in Greece in April and the WKSF World Championship to be held in Uzbekistan in October. Kettlebell Sport receives no funding from Sport England or any national sporting body. Parents of athletes fund their child’s place including all flights, accommodation, fees and transportation. We don’t believe any child in the team should be left behind and are therefore raising funds to put towards getting our children to these competitions.
The challenge is Saturday 15th April starting at the bottom of Captain Cook’s monument, we head to the top, then make our way back down and across to Roseberry Topping, taking plenty of team photos before returning. The walk is approximately 5miles across different terrain. There is no time limit and we will all stick together as a team.
People have the option to do;
1- The full route
2- Join us before scaling Roseberry Topping
3- Join us for the walk up to Captain Cook’s Monument
All donations will be split 50/50.
All family, friends and dogs welcome.
Please pass any names back to Adam Goodwin who will arrange a WhatsApp group for all volunteers.
Thank you in advance.
