Aim
Plastic FREE Periods & Education on the environmental cost, and menstrual cycle. We currently support over 700 people every month.
We need to irradicate period poverty in Teesside. This is achieved by making access to FREE menstrual products, education on alternatives to plastics in menstrual products, then offering the alternatives FREE to people. We currently donate the cash equivalent of over £80,000 worth of pads and tampons every year. If we can change these products to alternatives ie:- period pants, menstrual cups, reusables. This will make for a healthier menstrual cycle, better environmental environment, reduce landfill and ocean contamination.
