The Cause
❤️ Our Story
Hi, I'm Hannah, and this is Rosa — a PRE (Andalusian) mare who came into my life completely unexpectedly as a three-day-old foal in 2020.
I've ridden since I was three and horses have always been a huge part of my life. In 2005, I achieved a lifelong ambition by competing at three-star level at Blair Atholl Horse Trials.
But in 2010, a serious riding accident resulted in major back surgery and left me unable to walk or ride. At the time, I genuinely wondered if I would ever sit on a horse again.
Then came Rosa.
From that tiny three-day-old foal, I've produced Rosa myself, with the incredible support of my husband James. James has been there every step of the way — as my husband, supporter, helper, groom, chauffeur and, most importantly, driver!
We backed Rosa in March 2024 and since then the three of us have progressed together through British Dressage and MCI Dressage.
Rosa has given me something I once thought I had lost forever.
The chance to ride again. The chance to compete. And now, potentially, the chance to represent Great Britain in Europe
🇬🇧 The Dream
The Masters Du Cheval Ibérique (MCI) is a European dressage league and championship for Iberian horses.
Our next major step is the MCI British Championships on 19th–20th September 2026.
If everything goes to plan, James will then fire up the truck, load Rosa and me on board, and point us towards Belgium for the 2026 MCI Dressage European Championships at Sentower Park, Opglabbeek.
And that's where we need your help.
🎯 We need to raise £3,500
The money will help cover the costs of getting Rosa, Hannah and James to Belgium and safely home again, including transport, accommodation, travel and competition expenses.
£3,500 might sound like a big target.
But we believe that together, we can make it happen.
