To improve the wellbeing of families across Trimdon. Using the community garden and allotments, crafts, discussion and support groups
After lockdown and during the worst period of austerity people are feeling the effects and it is causing stress and anxiety for so many in our community. We aim to help alleviate some of the anxiety and isolation by bringing groups together to take part in a range of activities. Crafts, Discussion Groups, Youth Groups. We will use the centre for indoors however we also intend to do outdoor activities in our Community Garden and Allotment as well as arranging litter-picks, walks and visits to outdoor venues parks and garden centres.
Any money raised will be used to support the groups to make access affordable for all. We will aim to provide drinks and refreshments and make the overall experience one that is welcoming and friendly.
We will also use the funds to help minimise the effects of pverty by providing access to support from other organisations in the area linking with foodbanks and clothing banks.
We will offer services to young people either free or lowcost as we realise the need for them to socialise at a time when family budgets are stretched, We will strive to offer opportunities that they would otherwise be unable to afford.
