Aim

Tartan lighthouse wishes to provide therapeutic support to vulnerable children and families in Glasgow who have experienced complex trauma

Tartan Lighthouse therapeutic Services was a vision grown out of a friendship

Fran and Kirsti started their partnership at the recently closed Notre Dame Centre in Glasgow, unified in their faith in the dual model approach to trauma therapy. Fran is a qualified Play Therapist and Kirsti is an experienced Family Social Worker.

Our mission is

To Foster connection, understanding and resilience

To Improve mental health and well being

To Support 80+ families annually

To Provide free and low cost therapy and services

To Impact lives and overcome trauma

We aim to use our unique dual model approach where therapeutic support is offered to the child and their significant adult in parallel on a weekly basis. We have witnessed the long term and wider reaching impact of this approach in our time at Notre Dame. with over 70 years experience in our chosen field we both believe passionately that this approach has lasting impact on families and their futures. It is an early intervention and offers a beacon of hope for vulnerable children and families caught in a cycle of generational trauma
