Thanks to the generosity of supporters and the help of Sport England we have reached...
Redevelopment of the outdoor nets at Taplow Cricket Club, to install two new all-weather lanes.
We are a cricket club based in the picturesque village of Taplow, in Buckinghamshire, founded in 1850. We have a thriving junior cricket section, with close ties to the community, and support three senior teams in the Thames Valley Cricket League and a traditional Sunday social team.

We urgently need to improve our outdoor cricket nets. The current 1-lane facility is holding back the development of the club and its players. Two new cricket nets will provide more opportunities for junior and senior players to train and develop their skills.
We estimate the budget for two new nets to be in the region of £50k. Through the hard work of club volunteers we have already allocated £10k, and we are now looking for our supporters to help raise a further £10k to get the project started. The balance will be funded by a loan. So the more we raise now, the less we need to find in the future!
The cricket club is an important part of village social life. Friday nights are especially busy with the local children enjoying All Stars and Dynamos cricket. The improved nets will allow us to better support youngsters - and keep them at the club - and help grow our relationships with local schools, and the County. We hope that the new facility will also support our aspirations to build girls and womens teams at Taplow.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
