Crowdfunder is making it 100% free for community and charity crowdfunding projects during the coronavirus crisis. The Covid-19 epidemic could affect millions of people in the next few weeks.
These are unprecedented times but together, we are stronger, and the response is coming from communities across the country.
Volunteer groups are springing up to tackle the logistical problems faced in our communities – but they need urgent support. That's where we come in.

Why do I have a heart for Madagascar? I lived there for a year after college and came to know that Malagasy people are full of love despite being one of the poorest countries in the world. (£34 average monthly wage)
About 3 or 4 years ago a wonderful lady called Ninah went out into the streets to teach children unable to go to school. She taught them under a tarpaulin with them on barrels and planks of wood. In 2017 we raised money for them to move from the street into a safe space. This facility allowed her work to expand from supporting children to mothers in need, orphans and widows.
It started with the local washer women gathering the street kids so that Ninah could teach them, some who have never been to school. More and more have come to learn and she now supports the community in many ways.
With people unable to work from home like the majority of us during this time we have initiated a food bank as many were in need.
Ninah has said she has peace despite the hardship but I believe we can do more to provide for those in her community.
Ninah and I share a heart for the wider community and we trust any money raised will support those in need despite our direct knowledge of them.
I have witness to Ninahs heart having taught beside her for many months. We have known each other now for over 15 years and share a love for the people in Madagascar.
