Aim

Support Talk About It Mate to keep men's groups running, reduce loneliness, and improve wellbeing across Salford.

About Us & Our Vision

We are Talk About It Mate, a grassroots social enterprise supporting men’s wellbeing across Salford. Our mission is simple but powerful: to create safe, consistent, and non-judgmental spaces where men can connect, share, and be heard.

Our team is made up of dedicated volunteers, trained facilitators, and community members who are passionate about reducing loneliness, breaking down mental health stigma, and empowering men to take charge of their wellbeing. Every group and activity we run is co-designed with the men who attend, ensuring our support is meaningful, practical, and tailored to their needs.

We’re proud to have been named Salford Community Group of the Year, a recognition of the commitment and impact of everyone involved. But we want to do more.

Our vision: A Salford where no man feels isolated, where men can access consistent peer support, and where talking about mental health is normal and supported.

How your support will help:

  • Keep our weekly men’s groups running across Salford

  • Provide training and resources for our peer facilitators

  • Fund new initiatives like wellbeing challenges, workshops, and community outreach

  • Reach men who are isolated, unemployed, or facing personal challenges

Every donation, big or small, helps us reach more men and provide the support they need. With your help, we can continue building stronger connections, stronger communities, and healthier men.
