An app to allow customers to view restaurants in their vicinity, get offers when passing the restaurant, see menus, order and pay!

About the project

This project is going to look to optimise order taking and engagement for restaurants, which will aim to improve loyalty and improve customer service.

The aim is to start in London where there is high footfall and a high concentration of restaurants.

We know the process of walking past dozens of restaurants to go to one we are familiar with - this app aims to overcome this instinct by offering tailored discounts as you walk past a participating restaurant.

We will also incorporate your personal eating prefferences to only allow tailored offers (e.g. Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free ...) ensuring only the most relevant offers will arrive on your phone.

The first stage of this project is to build an application that offers restaurant goers a simple food ordering mechanism:

- Recieve a notification with a tailored offer from a restaurant within walking distance

- View the menu

- Instantly be told which table is free

- View the menu with pictures of the dishes and extra infromation from the chef

- Order directly from the app whilst seated with automatic recognisation of where you are seated

- Pay for the bill with ability to split the bill

- Ability to view previous orders

This project will use a network of beacons which will tell the app where you are seated and to deliver the localised/tailored offers.

This is the first step in building what could become the leading platform to discover and order your food whilst out and about.

There are already dozens of apps allowing you to order a takeaway from your phone but none which seamlessly alllow you to order and pay whilst visiting physical establishments.

The funds raised from this project will go toward:

- App development

- Setting up the system in a number of restaurants across London
