Why are we crowdfunding?
We are launching this crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to undertake urgent maintenance on our clubhouse and finish our much-needed cabin facility. The cabin will serve as a matchday food outlet, community space, and a communal area to future-proof the club's growth. The current economic challenges have put a strain on our financial resources, making it difficult to maintain and improve our facilities.
This new cabin is essential not only for enhancing the matchday experience but also for providing a versatile space that can be used by the community for various events and activities.
We also need to undertake essential maintenance on our clubhouse to ensure it is remains in use for our expanding teams, including updating the bar and changing room areas to reflect a modern and .
To date we have relied upon volunteers giving up their time to develop the initial stages. We are now at the point of requiring funding to purchase material and expertise to ensure the project is completed.
How we’ll spend the money raised
Transparency is key to our crowdfunding effort. Here is how we plan to allocate the funds raised:
- Completion of the Cabin structure: We have made a start on the cabin but have exhausted our donations and finances allotted to it. The primary expenditure will be the development of the interior and exterior of the cabin, ensuring it meets all safety and accessibility standards including disability access and fire regulations.
- Equipment and Furnishings: Fitting the cabin with the necessary kitchen equipment and furniture to serve food on matchdays and host community events.
- Operational Costs: Covering operational work such as electrics, water and related required work.
- Any additional funding raised will be allocated to repairing the main clubhouse and changing rooms to improve player and supporter enjoyment of the facilities.
Community impact
Taffs Well Football Club aims to play a vital part of our community. Our clubhouse is utilised by many patrons, both football fans and the local community alike.
The new cabin will provide a welcoming space for local residents to gather, socialise, and enjoy various activities. Outside of matchdays, this facility can be used for community meetings, educational workshops, and social events, making it a multifunctional asset.
By enhancing our facilities, we aim to support not only our club's future growth but also to offer a hub that benefits the entire community, supporting social cohesion and providing a safe space for diverse community activities.
